Have you ever stopped to think about what your inaction is really costing you?

Hey friend,

Have you ever stopped to think about what your inaction is really costing you?

I know what it’s like to feel stuck—to be caught in a loop of "I'll get to that when..." or "I just don't feel ready yet." But let me tell you something I’ve learned the hard way: delayed obedience is disobedience. That truth has challenged me deeply, and I hope it gives you the same little kick in the pants it gave me!

In this episode, I’m sharing a message straight from my own journey and a powerful coaching conversation I had inside my Walk Worthy Mentorship. This isn’t just another pep talk. It’s a reminder that you already have access to spiritual authority—but it’s up to you to walk in it.

So whether you’re battling fear, perfectionism, or just feeling unsure about your next step, let this be your moment to rise. We don’t have to wait until we "feel ready" to move. God has given us everything we need—right now.

In this episode, I share:

  • The high cost of inaction and the excuses that keep us stuck
  • What spiritual authority really means and how to access it
  • Why your hesitation might be robbing others of the impact you’re meant to make
  • How I use a simple 3-point "non-negotiables" list to move forward every week
  • The truth about the enemy’s tactics and how to stand firm in your God-given identity

Scriptures I reference:

  • Matthew 28:18-20
  • Luke 10:19
  • John 14:12-14

This week, I challenge you to:

  • Write down 3 non-negotiables and follow through
  • Take one bold step in the area you’ve been avoiding
  • Declare this out loud: *"I am standing in my authority and walking worthy today."

I’m hosting a brand new FREE 3-day workshop for faith-fueled midlife women who are ready to reset, refuel, and map out a 12-week plan to finish 2025 strong. We start July 8th — it’s live on Zoom, totally free, and spots are limited. Grab your seat at https://thefitsoul.com/masterclass!

Speaker 1:

Have you ever stopped to think about what you're in action is really costing you? You know, sometimes it can be shrouded in. Oh well, I'm going to get to that when, or I don't feel quite ready, but one day. And I just want to like kind of start off this podcast with a nice swift kick in the butt, with delayed obedience is disobedience, and I want to just challenge you right here in this moment, as we are at the midway point of the year and it's a perfect time to really start to examine how am I doing? Am I moving forward in my goals? Am I moving forward with my health and wellness? How are my relationships? How are my intentions that I set, maybe at the beginning of the year? How am I following through with that? How am I executing on the actions toward this life that I want? So welcome back to the podcast, my friends. That's kind of a weird introduction, but look, I just want you to know you're in the right place, like if you're the type of person who you want to move forward, then I want to encourage you to take a look at your inactions, because they're not serving you. And I stayed stuck for so, so, so many years, and now. I coach large coaching programs and we were having a conversation actually in one of my group coaching programs just today, at the timing of this recording, on what is the cost of our inactions. But how can that look? It shows up so many different ways. So real quick, brief introduction.

Speaker 1:

My name is Amy Ramsey. First of all, thank you for being here. I'm so grateful that you are here listening to this podcast. However, you made it to this podcast and I am a follower of Jesus, so I take a very faith-fueled approach to every coaching, all the coaching I'm about to kind of offer here right here on this podcast. I'm a certified high performance coach and what that means is that I really want to see you move your life forward in an integrated way to have success at all levels, while having amazing, beautiful relationships and prioritizing your health and wellness. Okay, so like from that perspective, that's how I help the women and actually men that I coach move forward through high performance habits, but with the foundation of the Word of God.

Speaker 1:

And so one of the things that I know when I hear women talk and they are staying stuck is oftentimes they don't understand the authority that they've been given. In Jesus, we have a spiritual position and a high calling and when we understand that I am called and that, yes, I am fearfully and wonderfully made and that God wants me to use my life, I am an ambassador for him. Therefore, my mouth I'm going to go use all of everything that's ever happened to me, but my voice becomes a vessel and all of the messes in my life become my message and I can use that and I can go impact others for God's glory in his kingdom. And one of the things that I know comes up just because it's happened so many times. I've coached so many people through this. Now I just understand oh, this is just normal, it's part of the process.

Speaker 1:

One of the most normal things you will have happen to you is you'll not feel ready, you'll never feel ready, and that's usually a good sign. It's time to go. That inaction can show up in I'm not ready, instead of taking some messy action and just moving forward as we are here in this solid time to evaluate what do you want differently? How, if you could like just kind of future project, what would you like to have happen by the end of the year? And if you right now made some changes, some shifts. What could that look like in your health and wellness, in your relationships, in your business, in your personal life and growth in your finances? What could that look like in your spiritual growth If you were to stop right now and go? Okay, let me level up the last half of this year.

Speaker 1:

All right, I'm about to play a faith activation text that we played, that was in my walk worthy mentorship coaching program and that is my Christian high performance life coaching group and, if you're interested in learning more about, and each morning I send them a what it's called a faith activation text, we call it a fat, and in that fat it gives a Bible verse but also a coaching nugget or a tip or a truth to move us forward. And this one I was listening to it going, oh, that's good, let's just make that a podcast. So I want to share this with you. It came out on a Monday, so you'll hear it on a Monday. So whether you're listening to this on a Monday or a Sunday or a Wednesday or whatever day, it doesn't matter, it's all fine, because we really do want to move forward and I pray that this blesses you and, kind of like, gives you that, that, that, that, that little kick in the pants, like in the best possible way, right In the best possible way. All right, enjoy this podcast and thank you again for being here.

Speaker 1:

A fresh week this week, today, a fresh day. This is a new opportunity for you to decide right now, how are you going to show up this week. How are you going to show up today, right now? How are you going to show up this week? How are you going to show up today, right now? This is an opportunity for you to decide how are you going to make progress this week on evolving, on becoming, on crushing the negative mindsets that have held you back, on crushing and eliminating the excuses that you allow yourself over and over again. And this week is the week that you're like nope, I am going to pursue excellence. This week is the week that I'm going to write down what I'm say I'm going to do, and then I'm actually going to do those things. This week is the week that you show up for yourself.

Speaker 1:

This week is the week that you show up because other people need you to show up, when we really stop and think that, wow, my actions impact other people, because I have a ripple that God wants me to leave on this earth. And then the it's like the opposite is even truer of that. My inactions really impact other people. My inactions, those things that I'm kind of scared to do, those things that I've been making excuses about, those things that I'm kind of scared to do, those things that I've been making excuses about, those things that I keep putting on the back burner. And so what if this week is the week that you decide that you're going to take some steps, courageously courageously out of fear, busting through, because here's the thing you doing. That is not just about you. You doing that is about somebody else.

Speaker 1:

Ultimately, when we look at our lives and how we're moving forward and the progress that we're making, it's really powerful when we stop and we think, okay, wait a minute, I'm called to do this, and so there's an obedience piece to God, yes, like that's the most important thing. But then, when we think about the areas that we've been bound, held back by our own fear, doubt, insecurity, our own thoughts of unworthiness, the negative mindsets, and we start to understand and have this, we start having these. Okay, wait a minute. God says this about me and this is who. He says that I am, but I don't feel like it. The thing is is that the enemy wants you to not pursue what's actually yours.

Speaker 1:

And so today, as it's a new week, I want to remind you, write down your three non-negotiables this week. What are you going to do? What are you going to accomplish? What are the things that you the three I'm not asking for a list of 10 or 20, but three things this week you will do? I want to share with you one of mine from last week. You're going to be like, really, that was on your list. Yeah, that was on my list, because, as I've been very honest and vulnerable with you, it's my household, day in, day out, stuff that tends to go by the wayside. I prioritize my health, I prioritize my family, I prioritize my business. It's some of these other little things that aren't that big, they're not that hard to do. They just weigh on me and I don't do them.

Speaker 1:

So one of the things that I had to do last week was so simple. I thought I had a prescription that was written to me incorrectly and I had been carrying around two bottles, like the old bottle and then the new bottle. I was like something's not right here. I better call. I need to call them. I have to call them during business hours. Well, listen, I'm pretty focused when I'm working. No, I am, I'm very focused when I'm working.

Speaker 1:

And so, anyway, finally, on Friday, before Friday finisher, what did I do? I'm like, oh, I got to do that. I got to do that. It literally took me two minutes. I called and they're like oh, my goodness, we're so sorry, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Yep, do this, do this. I'm like, okay, great, it took two minutes. My little thing took two minutes, but it was hard for me to get to, and the only reason why I did it on that Friday was because I had to complete that second by five o'clock. All right, so get those things written down, put them to where you're going to see them, and I'm going to ask you about it on Friday, your Friday finisher, you need to finish that, you need to complete that.

Speaker 1:

Okay, we need to build more integrity, personal integrity, with we do what we say we're going to do, and this is one of the ways that you can do it. This is one of the ways it's going to feel really good for you. Oh, my gosh, you're going to love this, absolutely love this, and the goal is is that you take this as a growth loop in your life. We talk about habit loops, we talk about growth loops, we talk about how, when we implement the idea of consistent action, it's a growth loop and your brain starts to look for okay. Well, let me optimize this, let me up-level this, and we're going to really start to chip away at our potential and the things inside of us.

Speaker 1:

Okay, our focus this month is on the confident culmination and, as a believer, our Christ-centered confidence comes from who we are in Christ Jesus a fortified identity, a upgraded identity, because we have the highest identity possible. And when we understand and we walk in that identity and we move forward in the kingdom purpose, in alignment with all that God's calling us to do, we have to understand and you already understand this, I know, you know this you have a very real enemy who doesn't want you moving forward. I promise you and this isn't a oh, my gosh, this is a the scripture tells us to be alert and be aware. The enemy is out there to devour you, and so this isn't a oh, be scared, be scared. No, here's the encouragement today that I have for you that when you one of the things that, as a believer, as we start to understand our God-given role, our responsibility, our position in Christ, and we understand what we have been given, you have everything in your life to defeat the enemy.

Speaker 1:

And so we're going to do a focus this week on authority. And what does that mean? I'm walking through this. I'm learning things at a new capacity. Some of you have far more experience and could speak into this at much deeper levels, so it's going to be, I would say, probably pretty just kind of baseline because, like I'm just, I've describing in the church my entire life I'm just discovering my authority, and I know that I'm not the only one.

Speaker 1:

And so here's the thing as a man thinketh, so he is. It's really important that, as you think about yourself, that is your reality. That is true. If you think you are horrible and terrible and blah, blah, blah, blah, that is your truth and that is how you're going to show up in the world. If you condition your mind and your thinking and your inner dialogue to tell yourself this is who I am, I am chosen, I am redeemed, I am a child of God, I'm a daughter of the King, that's how you're going to show up. This is a process and the more you condition, the more number one you take your thoughts captive and you condition your brain, you condition your thinking and you renounce those things that are not true of you. It's very powerful, but the enemy, I promise you, is going to absolutely come to attack every bit of this because he doesn't want you making progress in your identity. But here's what I know that we are so much more powerful than the enemy. Okay, jesus says.

Speaker 1:

Here's our scripture Matthew 28, 18 through 20. Jesus said to them all authority in heaven and earth has been given to me. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. I am with you always. All authority has been given to Jesus, all authority. And Jesus says in Luke he says I've given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy. That's Luke 10, 19. Nothing will harm you, all of these things, god says. Jesus says that if you believe in me, you will do the works I've been doing, and even greater things than these, because I am going to be with the father and whatever you do in my name, you ask in my name, the Father will be glorified in the Son. So you can ask me for anything in my name and I will do it. Here's the thing we have all authority. When God made Adam and Eve, he gave them dominion over the earth.

Speaker 1:

The enemy in Ephesians says it is a spirit. The enemy has a spirit. He needs a vessel to dwell in, and so he looks for humans opportunities. He's deceptive. He's the father of all lies. He's very deceptive, and so he gets us in our thinking, and that's why the scripture says renew your mind. God wants so much more for us, and he's given us this power, and so for us to be able to access this level of power is just stepping in the authority that's already been given to me.

Speaker 1:

This is like me saying, hey, here is your diamond earrings, and these are a gift from you. These are very valuable. Here you go and you saying, okay, great, well, I don't feel worthy of wearing those, so I'm just going to leave them on my counter. I don't feel like I am deserving of something so beautiful and exquisite, so I'll just leave them here until I feel like I'm able to wear them. And I don't even know I haven't seen you in six months. I'm like, hey, where are your earrings? You're not wearing your earrings. You're like, oh, I don't feel good enough. I don't feel qualified enough yet to wear those earrings yet, but I will one day. And the same is, that's our authority. It's like those earrings were yours to wear Now. That's our authority. It's like those earrings were yours to wear Now.

Speaker 1:

Whether you access and you walk in, it is up to you. And so, as I'm walking through this, as you're walking through this, the enemy's out there devouring believers through our thoughts, and I want you to think about the wasted time in your life that you've given the enemy access to you and you've been halted from moving forward because you felt doubt and insecurity, you felt intimidated, you felt fear, so you didn't move forward. Other people's opinions held you back, trying to find your validation, and others held you back. You are not alone in this. I need you to know that. We've all been there. We're on this journey together.

Speaker 1:

But what I would love for you to do on this day, on this Monday, is to have a line in the sand that says I'm going to take back what the enemy's stolen. I'm going to move forward in the things of God, in my God given identity, in this authority that's already mine. I will not allow the enemy to have any more access, any more access to me, to my mind, to my prayers. Fear and intimidation are spirits from the enemy. If you feel fear and you feel intimidated, you can rebuke the enemy right then and right there. That is straight up from the enemy.

Speaker 1:

I'm going a little long today because I just want to lay. This framework of your authority is already yours, but if you're like me, I've been just letting it sit there like those diamond earrings. Just sit there. They're getting even dirty. Nobody's even worn them. They're getting dirty just because they're sitting there. A little hairspray is getting. You know, when you put on, you use hairspray or aerosol products and the film kind of flies places. They're getting dirty, nobody's even wearing them.

Speaker 1:

So let's take back what the enemy has stolen from us. I hope this makes you a little like mad, honestly righteous indignation, like no, I agree. So here's what I would love. I would love for you to hit reply and say, and just type it out I am standing in my authority and I am walking. Worthy today. Worthy today. Let's do this together. Open the word of God, get into the word, ask him, lord, show me what my authority is. Show me how to speak from a place of authority and on the promises that you've already given me. Instead of begging you for bread, he's like daughter. I've given you everything you need. Okay, that was a lot. Today was a lot. I love you so much. Go walk worthy.
