I am. I've got a fun topic to share with you guys today, and this is a framework I want to teach you, a framework to help you to show up in boldness, in authenticity and fully, fully engaged in your life, fully moving forward on all of the things that you can do, and that only you can do, to make a difference in this world. So, if we haven't met before, my name is Amy Ramsey. First of all, I'm a follower of Jesus Christ, and then I'm also called to help women step fully into their calling and to move forward in that calling that Ephesians 4.1, to walk worthy of the calling for which you are called. And so it's my honor and my privilege to be a certified high performance coach, a Christian life coach, and I've been in the health and fitness and wellness space for 25 years, so I bring this all of that together to help women move forward, and some men too. So I was teaching recently in my Walkworthy Mentorship. Walkworthy Mentorship is Worthy is an acronym, actually. Let me break it down for you really quickly, because I'm going to break down one of the frameworks we have in there. So worthy is a framework of being whole, optimized, resilient, transformed, healthy you, and that's that acronym for worthy, and I am the queen of an acronym.
Speaker 1:I'm going to break down another acronym today, but in that optimization part, whole, optimized that's what I want to talk about today. What I want to ask you is are you optimizing your divine design? Are you living fully in all of the magnificence of the way that you're designed from the Father? You're designed from the Father. I know in my own life there was a time where I didn't see any worthiness in myself and I wouldn't have deemed myself as being able to show up fully and vibrantly and alive because I was stuck in so much guilt and shame. And thank God, I've been freed from all of that. I've had to go through a lot of work and to get past staying stuck in the trauma and the drama and all the things to move forward. Now it's my honor and it is my mission to help you with tools In this particular framework. I think it's going to be super helpful.
Speaker 1:It's very, very simple, but sometimes it's just those simple reminders. So I pray today that maybe this is just a fresh reminder for you to activate. That's one of the things that God has called me to do is to be an ambassador, activator. No matter where I am, no matter what role I've got, no matter what responsibility, I'm walking in an ambassador activator. What does that mean, amy? Well, if you are a believer, the scripture says that one of our roles and responsibilities that we are an ambassador of Jesus here on this earth. Come on, that's right. You, if you're a believer in Jesus Christ, if you're a follower of Jesus Christ, we are an ambassador.
Speaker 1:So what is an ambassador? So think about that in your own mind. I'm looking it up right now. What is an ambassador? When you think about ambassador, what comes to mind when you think about that, when you think about that as a role and responsibility? I want you to think about what comes to mind. All right, here's the definition for an ambassador. This was like.
Speaker 1:I literally picked up my phone and just Googled it super fast. Merriam-webster says an official envoy, especially a diplomatic agent of the highest rank accredited to a foreign government or sovereign. Hang on, let me click on that one. I can't get it Okay. A person who acts as a representative or a promoter of a specified activity or a promoter of a specified activity. You and I, as ambassadors, we are to be a people who act as a representative or a promoter of Jesus. All right, that's what an ambassador does.
Speaker 1:Today, I want to help you with five things as a framework to amplify your ambassadorship so you can make more of an impact. So you can make, so you can leave that legacy, but more than that, you can leave that contribution that you want to leave, like that's the highest form of service that we can do is to leave the contribution. It's about other people and not ourselves, all right, so let me just break down this. If you're watching this on YouTube, you can see behind me. Or if you're watching this in the Walkworthy Mentorship, you can see we've got great.
Speaker 1:I want you to think about great and I want you to think about that role as ambassador, the role, as the Bible tells us, that we are a light. That should not be a city set on a hill. We like think about the little song that we used to sing in Bible school this little light of mine. I'm going to let it shine. Right, we are called to be a light. Jesus is the light of the world and for us to be an ambassador, the more our light is shining bright for his glory he is light and the more we are operating in the capacity of how he's called us to be. When we walk in that fullness of our identity, of our spiritual inheritance, but also in the ways in which he instructs us to in the scripture. We become more light when we think about that scripture Galatians 5, 22 and 23,. Having the fruit of the spirit, it's such this beautiful place of love, of joy, of peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness and self-control. Those are evidences of the fruit of the Spirit in our life and so, no matter where we are, as a light, as an ambassador for Jesus, we get to carry that into every place that we go.
Speaker 1:If you think about yourself as this light bulb, like if you're listening to the podcast, I want you just to close your eyes for just a second unless you're driving, of course and think about, like an old school light bulb, what that looks like. And now think inside, encapsulated inside of that light bulb, that it's shining, it's radiant, it's bright. Now, how do you get your light shining brighter? How can you do that? Well, I want to give you ways that you can optimize this yourself in this role as an ambassador, so you can like understand the importance of every space you step into, every room in your house, every interaction with others that you are privileged to have, you get to take your light and shine bright for the Lord. We have that opportunity, Okay, right. So let's go through a few things that will help us with that. All right, so think about the acronym. We're going to go through, an acronym for great. Here's the thing.
Speaker 1:What I would like to just say right now, in this place, in this time, is that you are created in the image of God, and to understand the significance of that alone, sometimes it feels weird to think, oh wait, I'm not, there's nothing great about me. So are you saying that there's nothing great about God Because you're created in his image? I know there's a time that that would have felt, and it did feel, like that was almost irreverent to say. But if we're fearfully and wonderfully made, if we start to understand the significance, the power, the incredibleness of how we truly are created, then we can start to go okay, no, I have got to shine bright for God's glory and to be a beautiful representative for his name, right? So let's just start with that. Number one you being great, all right.
Speaker 1:The G is for gifts. When you understand that you have received gifts from the Spirit. This is an impartation. This is something so beautiful in the way in which you're created. I was telling my Walkworthy mentorship that you can go online. There's like Google biblical spiritual gifts assessments and if you're not familiar with what are your spiritual gifts, go take that assessment.
Speaker 1:I was a little fuzzy of mine, like I hadn't really thought about it. This was several years back. I hadn't really thought about it in a whole long time Like, what are my spiritual gifts? I took that little test and then I was able to do a little bit more work. It was so enlightening to go. Oh, that makes so much sense. So I want you to go take a spiritual gifts assessment If you, if you're not familiar with the way you are and starting to understand.
Speaker 1:Here's the thing when you start to understand how you're created and how you're made, it really does make a difference. It starts to make sense. It's like, oh, um, one of my top gifts is leadership. Oh, and it happens to be. I really love leadership and good, bad or indifferent. I find myself in leadership positions a lot. But the more I started to understand, oh, this is just the way that God has made me. It made me want to lean into that and actually to up-level those abilities in my life.
Speaker 1:Another one of mine is encouragement. This makes so much sense. I thrive when I get to encourage others. It just it fuels me and I love that. Hospitality oh my goodness, I absolutely love entertaining in my home. I love it when I have people over, whether it's a big like a larger event, or just, you know, two people over for dinner. I love the entertaining and hospitality nature that that comes with. So I want you to do your spiritual gifts. I would love to hear what they are and to really start to understand and it's a discovery of how God made you and how he wired you. And the more you can learn that, oh my goodness, it just you can start to lean in into those gifts, to understand. These gifts are an impartation to you and this is how the father designed you and the goal is to mature those gifts, to lean into them and to continue to up-level those gifts in your life.
Speaker 1:Okay, the next one is the R, and this is for your radiant personality. This is for you to just shine brightly in the greatness of how you're wired. Inevitably, somebody listening to this is going to be like yeah, no, I do not have a great personality, amy, it's not about having an idea of a personality that you think is deemed as maybe better than what you have. No, you are fearfully and wonderfully made. And your radiant personality you might be going, but I'm an introvert. I'm not like that. Mine doesn't sparkle, no, like the greatness of your. However, you are wired and allowing the best of that. It's being fruitful, wired and allowing the best of that. It's being fruitful, it's being obedient in that. The Bible says that when we're in Christ, that we are a new creation. It's like being fruitful and maturing in our personalities and how we are.
Speaker 1:Our personality is different from the impartation of our spiritual gifts and to lean into this is to leaning, is leaning into being authentic, being unique, being okay with being you. Leaning into this allows you to be comfortable, more comfortable with the way that you are, all of the, the maybe, maybe, the quirkiness and the weirdness and the unusual things, like it's okay, it's just the. You know, it's part of the way that you're wired. Listen, I've got some really kind of quirky things about me and I finally was like okay, this is okay, this is just part of who I am, it's part of my radiant personality and if I just lean into that and look at it like that, I can be okay with myself, at a better weight, and it allows me to be more comfortable, which allows me to again. What are we talking about here? Shining brighter for the kingdom of God. So shine bright like, be okay with those things about yourself and let the goodness of the Father's design in you arise even more. Okay, we are moving right along.
Speaker 1:Next, we're going to talk about our experiences. The E E is for experiences. So we've had our gifts, our radiant personality, and now we're talking about our experiences. This could be something that whew, this could be a difficult one. I know for me in my own life, my experiences, the bad experiences I had encountered in life, kept me like taking my light, where I'm encouraging us all to shine it bright and be really vibrant. In fact, I just had coffee with a friend at Starbucks and I was just telling her. She was asking me a story and I was telling her a little bit about my background and she wasn't familiar with part of my story, but it was just that reminder. Anytime I tell my story, I forget how broken I was, and for so long those bad experiences kept me playing very, very small Talk about sitting on the sidelines of my life.
Speaker 1:That's where I stayed. That's what was comfortable. I didn't want any. I didn't want to be known by anybody because I was so embarrassed and ashamed of my past. I wanted to look a certain way and the reality was is it didn't, and it almost took me out from being of service to what God wanted me to do in this world.
Speaker 1:And so here's what I want to say to you those things that have happened to you in the past, the things maybe you've done to yourself or maybe you've been a victim of circumstances, your experiences shape your perspective of life. Your experiences are part of you, don't? We wish we could take a highlighter and highlight the really good experiences and keep those, and we could take an eraser and erase the ones that we're not so proud of or we wish life would have been differently. But that's not life In our human experience. For us to own all experiences that have happened to us and to know that God works out all things for good. Our experiences in life, the difficult things, are what make us who we are today. Our bad experiences give us that opportunity for growth and resilience and having to be successful in life, you must have resilience and a level of perseverance to push through all of the hardship, the emotional things that we have to push through. So part of you shining bright.
Speaker 1:Maybe you're listening to this and you're thinking I've been hiding and shrinking from my bad experiences and I haven't wanted my light to shine very bright. What I want you to hear in this moment is that I was there too, but that's not God's plan for you. There is therefore now no condemnation to. All are in Christ Jesus, so in God's economy you don't have to do anything, or he loves you so much through all of your experiences. That's the beauty and the mystery and the amazingness of the Father and Jesus. He is chasing after us with mercy and kindness and love. And so maybe you're like me.
Speaker 1:I had the wrong perception of who and how God the Father I had believed lies about God the Father. I only thought he was disappointed with me. I only thought that man, I had really blown this. But the more I studied the scripture and the more I studied how patient and how kind he is. There are natural consequences for our actions that we can't get out of. That's just part of life, right, but in his economy he's like I'm for you, I am not against you, so I hope that's helpful for you. My experience has kept me stuck for so long and I pray that yours will not keep you stuck. Okay, again, we're talking about how to optimize, how to make our light bright for Jesus. Excuse me, I got a little something to drink there. We're moving on.
Speaker 1:Now we're to the A in our acronym, great. This A is for our abilities. Okay, this is your skill sets. This is about taking the talents that you have and up-leveling. Now your spiritual gifts are an impartation and they're spiritual gifts. So, real quick, we talked about the spiritual gift aspect of this and that's just the way that the Father designed you. But listen, it's more than just the spiritual gifts, I think personally, that are laid out for you in the Bible. There's so many things that are so unique-ably you, so remarkably you. You are a custom creation. You are handmade from heaven. I mean your fingerprints, your toe prints, your voice, your nose print, your ear print. There are so many things that just make so many attributes that only you have, and part of your spiritual gifts relate to all of that. Then we start to take all of this stuff together our gifts, our personality, our experiences and now our abilities.
Speaker 1:At this stage in our life we've been able to skill up naturally. We've been able to start to sift through and figure out where our natural bent is and to up-level that right. Especially when you're staying in the place of growth and having that growth mindset, there's always more to learn. I want to encourage you right now to be a lifelong learner. Never stop skilling up, never stop taking your skill sets and the things, even that you're interested in, maybe even new hobbies and learning something new, challenging yourself. It's so powerful. What happens actually in the brain when we do that? It unlocks more of actually your DNA, more of who you, more of your potential, basically. So always be skilling up and so okay. So you've got your abilities. You've got your abilities.
Speaker 1:Now, listen, let's go on to the T. You've got your abilities. Now, listen, let's go on to the T. In that T, this one is really important. These are your talents. Your talents are your God-given abilities. God gives you the spiritual gifts and then he gives you certain talents in your life, and so part of the abilities is to up-level your talents. Right, but this is something that's inherited in you. You're just naturally good at this. Maybe you're just naturally good at numbers and you enjoy that and your brain actually sees it.
Speaker 1:Okay, this is a funny story. My sweet husband is naturally good at a whole lot of stuff, a whole lot. He's just very multifaceted, as you are, and he's really good at business and numbers and he's also really good at looking at something and going oh yeah, that's about. Let me tell you this he knows he watches the mile markers when we drive. We drive oftentimes we drive a lot from Mississippi to Florida and he's so funny, he has memorized the mile markers. Now, there's a bunch of miles between Mississippi and Florida, but he's got it. I'll ask him sometimes when he's making that trip by himself I'm like, where are you? And inevitably he'll say well, I'm at mile marker number 153. I'm like that means nothing to me, like who does that? He keeps up with the mile markers. He is so funny If he likes building projects and and um and and does that on the side and um, what do you call it?
Speaker 1:Uh, construction and some different things like that. So anyway, he's oftentimes measuring the length of a wall or a room, or even like maybe a piece of furniture for that room. He will walk it off. He has this certain stance and he'll stand up. I mean, I can see it coming. He'll stand up, nice and tall, and he takes his foot out and he does this walk and he's like, okay, well, that is exactly 12 foot. I'm like there's no way. I'll get my little tape measure right after him and I'll measure that and sure as the world he is spot on every time.
Speaker 1:Let me tell you something that is a talent that is not normal. Normal people don't have that. People like me don't have that. It's just this inherent talent that he has learned. But we all have our own unique talents and certain things about us that set us apart. So let's just go over this framework real quickly again.
Speaker 1:Great is about your gifts. Great is about your gifts, your radiant personality, your experiences, your abilities and your talents. God is calling each of us to. His ways are higher, his thoughts are higher. He's calling each of us to elevate every one of these areas of our lives, every one of these areas of our lives to maximize and optimize these things, to step in, lean into our spiritual gifts, to shine with that radiant personality that we've all been given to understand our experiences, good and bad. Give us that experience and empathy to serve and help and understand others, to lean into our talents and our abilities and to skill up constantly so we can shine so bright.
Speaker 1:The thing is is that the more you lean into this, the more of a impact you're going to make, the more it's about contribution and service to others, and that's what our life is all about. Ultimately, right. And the thing is is that when we're living life like this, we're just going to be more fulfilled. We're going to be more fulfilled, we're going to be more vibrant, we're going to step into that place of life and life to the full, that abundant life. But we have to contend for it. The negative thinking, the stinking thinking, the broken beliefs, the allowing our experiences to take us down a negative route, will keep us that the light that God wants to shine bright. It's going to keep it dim.
Speaker 1:And so here's what I want to encourage you is that go, shine bright in every bit of the great way that God has made you to be. You doing that is crucial. It's so important for so many reasons, but number one somebody's freedom. Somebody desperately needs to hear what you've got to offer. Someone desperately, I mean, think about that. Someone needs to hear the good news of Jesus, right? Someone needs to see a light, someone showing an example. That's so different it doesn't even take that much. The smallest acts of kindness really, really matter.
Speaker 1:And so here's what I want to encourage you to do Go, shine bright, let's go. This little light of mine, honey, go, let that thing shine. You are a city set on a hill. You're you doing this makes a difference for somebody else. So please go do the work on all of these areas, because you, you are a work in progress and a hot mess at the same time, just like all of us are.
Speaker 1:We are all going through this human experience, and so I want to hear, as your sister, I want to encourage you. I want to encourage you that I'm in the same place. We're all in this. Maybe we're in different places, but I'm in the same way, trying to figure this thing out and to do it well, to walk worthy, to walk worthy of that calling that is inside, to be activated. So, as your ambassador, activator, I hope this motivated you, this encouraged you, this inspired you to get out there. Go use your voice, go, use your life for God's glory.
Speaker 1:Somebody needs you to shine bright today. All right, my friend? Well, thank you for being here, tune back in with me soon and, as always, I appreciate you, I love you so much, I'm so honored that you've come back, and if this is your first time here, welcome, by the way. And if you would, please, please, please, share this with someone else and let's get that message out, because the more that we're all walking worthy, the more people get to hear and experience Jesus right here on this earth. Let me tell you something some crazy stuff is happening in this world. Jesus is coming back really soon. Every single day is a gift and an opportunity, so let's we've only got this one life to live. Let's live purposefully, let's live intentionally and let's maximize it. Let's go walk worthy.
